A little mixing does a lot of good!
ReplyDeleteI love it when art makes a room. That bold green painting against that pink stripe chaise nearly took my breath away. I love the first image too. Mix away!
ReplyDeleteThis is my kind of decorating. I've never had the money to do one of those great rooms I love that you show. I think one of the challenges of decorating is working with what you've got and can't get rid of. Overcoming it. I live in a Dutch house and my husband has many old fashioned ideas.
ReplyDeleteOh Viera,
ReplyDeleteI also love mixing a classic style as a base with contemporary art!
Our friend Brooke of Velvet and Linen did a nice job hanging Steve's paintings on that wall! Isn't it?

wow, all those images are fabulous! gorgeous colour
ReplyDeleteLove the offbeat art in these rooms! I am crazy about art, I think a few pieces that are really unique and well-placed just make a room! Your blog is stunning, fabulous posts and I will be following! Cheers!
ReplyDeleteWow - I am such a fan of modern art with more traditional decor (rather than, I'm afraid, the reverse). These are marvelous examples. So fresh.
