It's amazing what a bit of greenery will do - it really lifts each of these rooms! Lovely post! Tracey xx

Image 2, and image 4 definitely my favorite. I love the balance that 2 matching plants create, and i love the artistic value of an oversized tree or branch.

And though I appreciate greatly beautiful arrangments, fresh or faux, I couldn't imagine a space without beautiful green living plants... which i have been known to kill..:-[

love these pics - really nice post today.

I would bet the 50% of the plants in those shots were really good fakes. I do fake in my house because of the lack of responsibility and the fact that I hate to see things die. If you pay the price you can get a really realistic fake. Check out Horchow.com , great fakes. Heidi

I think it's necessary to add a life source in a room that you mentally connect with (real or fake) it works!

I love to have both plants & flowers in my house, but I must admit that I'm not very good at keeping the plants alive! Lee :)

Fabulous post must admit that I do love fakes as they are a lot easier to keep alive.......

I love a bit of greenery in a room, although I never seem to be able to manage to water and care for the plants I buy. Flowers make a room special. Every time I tear out a photo from a magazine of a room that I love, it has fresh flowers in it.

I am a cut flower girl but I do admire indoor plants - I just can't seem to get it right myself - except for orchids, now those I love, xv.

Loving flowers the way we do, we mix our silks with real. People assume they are all real, and you will always have beautiful flowers in your home.

I like the way plants look but really love fresh flowers.

* "I APOLOGISE"~~~ I mean, WHO could look AT, or FOR, "plants" w/ these FAB PHOTOS to look at FIRST?... ESPECIALLY #2 (By Slettvol) and #4 (By Caldwell-Beede)~~~ #2 just made me miss the So. Cal. beach area where I grew up & #4 was just "plain ol' faaaabulous"! Period!!!

Re plants, I honestly believe they must be well-edited, making their OWN statement and, of course, be extrememly HEALTHY!!! For MY personal joy, REAL plants and only REAL FLOWERS "make the cut" in our home (excuse the pun, plz!).

This was suuuuch a "pretty posting", and I thank you for the special treat!

I would love to have greenies at my house but they just die after awhile. Hmmm... no green-fingers?

Love both sort of plants though. So inspiring post, VT!

Million TY for always coming by at my room. So much appreciated.

Take care, girl---

I think fresh flowers and the greenery of real plants add so much to interiors. I love cutting my hydrangeas this time of year and bringing some of them inside to enjoy.
Thank you for including one of our homes in your post!
